Call for Proposals - Learn to Thrive 2027 by ACCME

First-time Contributor Scholarships Available

We believe Learn to Thrive is strongest when it includes new voices, fresh perspectives, and practical ideas from across the accredited CE community. New this year, we’re offering a limited number of First-time Contributor Scholarships for accepted session or research proposals.

Requirements for Session Faculty:

Your submission(s) must be your own/your group’s work. All presenters must have had a role in the planning of the proposed session.
All faculty for accepted proposals must register for the meeting.
Faculty will be expected to participate in 1-2 faculty development webinars prior to the meeting to help facilitate your participation in Learn to Thrive 2027.

Faculty Discount:

Faculty for accepted sessions will receive a discount on registration for up to 4 faculty members per session.
NOTE: Discounts can only be applied to session faculty and only one registration discount is applicable per person.

The research teams (or a representative) for accepted submissions will:

Create a research poster, which will be displayed prominently for the duration of the meeting. A PDF of your research poster will also be shared in the meeting app.
Participate in our Research & Scholarship Exchange including a brief (2-3 minute) oral presentation and poster session.
Compete for the 2027 Research & Scholarship Award
Gain access to special opportunities for professional development, networking, and feedback through participation at the meeting.

Requirements for Research Project Teams:

Your submission(s) must be your own/your group’s work.
All authors must have had a role in the research for the continued development of the project.
At least one researcher from accepted research project proposals must register for the meeting in order to represent their team.

Faculty Discount:

Researchers from accepted submissions registering for the meeting will receive a discount on registration for up to 4 researchers per submission.
NOTE: Discounts can only be applied to listed research team and only one registration discount is applicable per person.

Can I submit only completed (e.g., published) research projects for Learn to Thrive 2027?

We welcome submissions of your research and scholarship work at all stages of development, from early conceptual plans in search of collaboration and feedback to mature projects ready for (or post-) publication/dissemination.

Can I submit research projects that have been presented at other meetings?

Yes. You are welcome to submit research projects that have been shared at other meetings. You will be prompted to share this information in your submission. Keep in mind that Learn to Thrive 2027 is an opportunity for you to share new perspectives/updates about your CE research.

Learn to Thrive 2026 will provide Working Group leaders with opportunities to engage all meeting attendees and a longer timeline for developing your Working Group products. Accepted Working Groups will begin their work at Learn to Thrive 2026 and collaborate to create a product/outcome that will be completed in late 2026 through early 2027.

Working Group proposals must be submitted by a leadership team from two or more accredited CE providers. The submission process allows for up to four individuals to be listed in your Working Group proposal. We welcome participation from ACCME, state-accredited, and jointly accredited organizations.

Leadership teams for accepted Working Group proposals will:

Host a focus group session(s) at Learn to Thrive 2027 to share their group’s project goal with meeting participants, get feedback, and recruit group members.
Participate in a webinar in June 2027 to share their Working Group projects with the broader CE community for the purpose of recruiting additional group members (the ACCME will host a sign-up period for group members).
Facilitate virtual working meetings from July through November 2027 to collaborate in the production of a resource for the CE community.

In support of the Working Group leadership teams, ACCME will:

Promote working groups and help recruit group members.
Support the groups in an advisory capacity.
Help to produce and disseminate the Working Group products from November 2027 through April 2028.

Working Group leaders or representatives will then share their journey and final products in a featured session at Learn to Thrive 2028.

At least two members of the Working Group leadership teams for accepted proposals must register for the meeting.
